The Oracle’s ten year birthday celebrations continued with the first Fresh Food Festival – a four day event based outside on the distinctive Riverside setting. The event consisted of a Farmers’ Market over four days, supported by a full programme of activity from a live stage complete with cooking demos and gardening workshops.

In true Shining Wit style, this event was ambitious and unique – further to live cooking demos from celebrity chefs Gino D’Acampo, and Daniel Galmiche, the stage also featured live cooking demos from nine of The Oracle’s resident restaurants, including Pizza Express, Strada, and Wagamama – this gave the restaurants the opportunity to promote their food offer in a unique and exciting way that allowed them to truly engage with their potential customers.

In the evening the stage played host to the Ibiza-inspired Summer Sunset Bar and Beats – cocktail barmen did impressive flair juggling demos, and cocktail samples were handed out to the assembled crowds – resident Ibiza DJs and percussionists provided the soundtrack.
In spite of two days of rain, the crowds flocked to The Riverside, and took full advantage of the varied and exciting elements of this truly bespoke event, that saw an increase in footfall to the centre over the four days.

"The Fresh Food Festival was a unique event that brought something completely new to The Oracle. The results for this event were outstanding: footfall was up +8%, dwell time increased, and we achieved £62,000 of PR AVE." Sue Duddington, Marketing Controller, The Oracle
